Trauma-informed support that’s affordable, flexible, and private.
Attend when it feels supportive — no long-term commitment required.
EMDR without sharing your story
“Drop-in” means you attend when it feels supportive.
Each session stands on its own. There’s no requirement to return, no long-term commitment, and no expectation of regular attendance.
While attendance is flexible, the group itself is still structured and therapist-led. This isn’t an open support group.
You choose when to come. The guidance stays consistent.
This group may be a good fit if you…
How Drop-In Group EMDR Works Here
-
We’ll meet for a free, virtual consultation to help you understand how the Drop-In EMDR group works and decide whether this format is appropriate and supportive. We’ll keep the conversation high-level and focused on structure, goals, and fit.
If it feels like a fit, we will schedule an individual assessment and preparation session.
-
New participants must complete a one-time, 90-minute individual assessment session for screening and orientation before joining a drop-in group.
During this session, we will:
Review relevant history and current concerns
Assess for safety and readiness
Clarify goals and group structure
Discuss pacing, expectations, and supports
Begin enhancing internal supports in preparation for the group work
-
Once you’ve completed assessment and preparation, you’re welcome to attend Drop-In Group EMDR sessions as they fit your schedule. There’s no requirement to attend weekly or commit to a set number of sessions.
Each session follows the same clear, therapist-led structure:
A brief orientation and grounding at the start
Structured EMDR processing using a group protocol
Individual internal focus (no sharing of trauma details)
Time for settling and closure at the end of group
The flow stays consistent from session to session.
You choose what you work on—something new or a continued focus. There’s no expectation to speak and no sharing of details. Other participants are working privately alongside you on their own material.
How to Use This Drop-In Group
You might use this group during stressful periods, when extra support would feel helpful. Some people use it as a more affordable alternative to weekly individual therapy.
You may attend occasionally when things feel stirred up, or use it alongside individual therapy when regular sessions aren’t possible.
There’s no right way to use this group. You can come once, return as needed, or step away when it no longer feels supportive.
